Academic Achievements
- Published numerous papers, including 'Unifying Large Language Models and Knowledge Graphs: A Roadmap' (IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, 2024), 'Top 10 Algorithms in Data Mining' (Knowledge and Information Systems, 2008), and more; received several prestigious awards, including the IEEE ICDM Research Contributions Award (2022), Highly Cited Researcher (2017-2019) by Clarivate Analytics, IEEE ICDM 10-Year Highest Impact Paper Award (2014), Fellow of AAAS (2012), IEEE Computer Society Technical Achievement Award (2012), Fellow of IEEE (2011), NSFC Outstanding Overseas Chinese Young Scholar (2009 & 2013), IEEE ICDM Outstanding Service Award (2006), and ACM SIGKDD Service Award (2004). In addition, he has been serving as editor-in-chief or co-editor-in-chief for several academic journals over the years.
Research Experience
- Served as program committee chair/co-chair for multiple international conferences such as IEEE ICBK '17, IEEE/ACM ASONAM '14, ACM CIKM 2010, ACM KDD-07, IEEE/WIC/ACM WI-06; served as Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Intelligent Informatics (TCII) from April 2002 to April 2006.
Background
- Research interests include big data knowledge engineering, data mining, etc. He is a member of the Key Laboratory of Knowledge Engineering with Big Data (the Ministry of Education of China).
