Academic Achievements
- Won the Netherlands Prize for ICT Research in 2011. Member of The Young Academy of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences from 2010 until 2015. Member of the Global Young Academy from 2011 to 2016. Involved in multiple research projects such as developing a game about building rectangular cartograms, designing flow maps depicting whisky exports from Scotland, etc., and has published several related papers.

- Chairing the Applied Geometric Algorithms (AGA) group and part of the Algorithms (ALGO) cluster at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of TU Eindhoven.
