Academic Achievements
Published over 150 refereed papers, filed several patent applications, and secured about $3M in external research funds as principal investigator. Honored as an ACM Distinguished Scientist. Served as the elected chair of IEEE Technical Committee on Parallel Processing for two terms and received the IEEE TCPP Outstanding Service Award.
Research Experience
Led the NSF/IEEE-TCPP curriculum initiative on parallel and distributed computing. Explored data-intensive computation on geospatial datasets over cloud, multicore, and GPU. Led an interdisciplinary team on embedded software and mobile middleware research program. Supervised multiple students and postdoctoral fellows.
