Research Experience
Since 2003, researching channel codes for high data rate CCSDS missions; 2004-2005, researching at the University of Arizona, designing low-complexity error correcting codes for space communications; since 2006, with the Institute of Communications and Navigation at DLR, currently leading the Information Transmission group.
Education
M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2002; Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2006.
Background
Main research interests: Satellite communications, wireless multiple access techniques, error control coding, and post-quantum cryptography. Brief introduction: Born in Italy, currently leading the Information Transmission group at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
