Academic Achievements
  • Received several best paper awards and nominations from IEEE INFOCOM, IFIP Networking, ITC, NetGames, etc.; authored multiple book chapters on topics like Quality-of-Service in the Internet, disaster-resilient communication networks, etc.; edited proceedings for international conferences.
Research Experience
  • Established and leads the Networked Systems group at Delft University of Technology; was a Visiting Scholar at Technion (2009) and Columbia University (2016); served as General Chair or TPC Chair for conferences such as ACM SIGCOMM (2021, 2022) and IEEE INFOCOM (2024); co-PI of the Dutch 6G flagship project Future Network Services, leading the Intelligent Networks program line.
Education
  • Obtained a Ph.D. degree cum laude from Delft University of Technology and completed an M.Sc. thesis in Electrical Engineering titled 'Hop-by-hop routing with QoS constraints' in 2000.
