Research Experience
- Professor and Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Computer Science at the University of Liverpool, UK. Involved in the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project 'Big Data Augmented Audience Verification' with Bluprint; led the iTract: Islands of Tractability in Ontology-Based Data Access (EPSRC EP/M012646/1, 2015–18). Co-chair of the 28th Description Logics Workshop, Athens, Greece, and the 11th International Workshop on the Implementation of Logics.
Background
- Research interests include description logics, ontologies, automated reasoning, temporal logic, specification and verification formalisms, proof complexity, deduction systems, and practical applications of formal methods.
