Won the Bell Labs Prize for Brain Mapping Technology, Robust Intelligence platform acquired by Cisco to enhance AI security for enterprises.
Research Experience
Leads the I.I.D. group, focusing on addressing critical challenges in the real-world deployment of machine learning systems such as noise, malicious exploitation, outliers, variability in objectives, privacy concerns, and fairness. Research directions also include online learning, decision-making systems in complex environments, neuroimaging techniques, and combinatorial optimization problems.
Background
Research interests include learning theory, optimization, and information processing. Aims to develop data-driven algorithms with strong theoretical guarantees that can automatically acquire and reason about highly uncertain information.
