Successfully supervised nine PhD candidates and two MPhil candidates, all in taxation at UNSW.
Research Experience
Was a lecturer in economics at the University of Auckland (1982-1985) and Deakin University (1989-1991), and a National Research Fellow at the Centre for Applied Economic Research, UNSW (1985-1990). Returned to UNSW Sydney as a lecturer in taxation in 1991. Also held short-term appointments at the University of Technology Sydney, Nagoya City University, University of California (Santa Barbara), Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Ton Duc Thang University, and RMIT University Vietnam.
Education
Bachelor of Economics (Honours, First) from James Cook University in 1977; Master of Economics from Australian National University in 1978; PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales in 1982.
