Background
His research interest is in machine learning, focusing on the foundations of machine learning to provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of learning algorithms, thus guiding the development of new algorithms. Recently, he has been devoted to solving fundamental scientific and mathematical problems via the approach of machine learning. On the application side, he develops algorithms and systems for medical diagnosis based on machine learning methods.
