Academic Achievements
- Published multiple papers in top-tier conferences such as NeurIPS 2025, EMNLP 2025, COLM 2025, etc.; achieved second place in the AVERITEC Shared Task hosted by ACL 2025 Workshop FEVER; and second place (first among open source) in the AVERITEC Shared Task hosted by EMNLP 2024 Workshop FEVER. Served as a Program Committee member for several international conferences including NAACL, ACL, EMNLP, etc.
Research Experience
- Currently a Research Scientist at Adobe Research. Prior to this, worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Samsung Research Artificial Intelligence Center (2006-2017), where he was involved in critical initiatives for the engineering and innovation of AI and machine learning.
Education
- Received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University in 2020, advised by Dr. Kyomin Jung, and was awarded the Distinguished Dissertation Award.
Background
- Research interests include machine learning and natural language processing (NLP), particularly in understanding long texts for question answering systems and learning language representation. Also interested in applying and integrating NLP research with other disciplines to tackle practical issues, such as understanding multimodal information (text, audio, and visual) and NLP for social good.
