AAAI Fellow and Co-Editor in Chief of the Artificial Intelligence journal. Recipient of numerous awards such as the 2020 Outstanding Senior Program Committee Member, AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), and the 2018 Energy Networks Industry Innovation Award, among others. Lead or participated in several research projects, including 'AI Planning: The Next Generation' and 'Integrated Planning for Uncertainty-Centric Pilot Assistance Systems', funded by ARC.
Research Experience
Appointments with INRIA (1995-1997) and CSIRO (1997-2001). Contributed to National ICT Australia (NICTA, now CSIRO Data61) in various roles, including as the Canberra Laboratory director (managing 150 staff and PhD students) from 2003 to 2016. Currently, a member of the Planning and Optimisation research group at ANU and involved in ANITI and LAAS-CNRS.
