Academic Achievements
In February 2025, the IMAGENDO team was awarded the AEA Ignite Grant (~$500k); in December 2024, the IMAGENDO team was awarded an NHMRC idea project (10% success rate, ~$2M). Multiple papers accepted to CVPR 2025, CHI 2025, and other conferences. Served as AC or jury committee member for several international conferences.
Research Experience
Currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science, University of Adelaide, serving as the research lead for the Augmenting Ability CRC and the human-AI interface lead for the IMAGENDO Project. Explores three paradigms of human-AI interaction: AI as Assistant, AI as Collaborator, and AI as Oracle.
Education
Worked with Prof. Patrick Baudisch at HPI, Prof. Takeo Igarashi at the University of Tokyo, Prof CT Lin at UTS, and Dr. Li-Yi Wei at Adobe Research.
Background
Senior Lecturer (tenured assistant professor in other systems), with research interests including Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Graphics, and AI/ML. His research mission is to augment human capabilities by engineering human-centred AI systems.
