Main research directions include mobile and wireless communications and networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and smart mobility, smart energy, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and applied artificial intelligence.

Currently a Senior Research Scientist at the Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Science and Engineering (CEMSE) Division at KAUST, Saudi Arabia. Previously worked as a research scholar at Stevens Institute of Technology (USA), Karlstad University (Sweden), and Qatar Mobility Innovation Center (Qatar).
Education
Received a PhD in Electrical Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia under the supervision of Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini. Earned Diplome d'Ingenieur and Master of Science degrees in telecommunications engineering with highest distinction from Ecole Superieure des Communications de Tunis (SUP’COM), Tunisia, in 2010 and 2011, respectively.
