  • Umit has been employed in both academia and industry on a global scale throughout his career. At IBM International in Istanbul, Turkey, he worked as a Communication and Network Engineer and Project Manager, and later, he became a Senior Researcher in Energy Informatics and Economics at the prestigious Fraunhofer Institute in Germany. As a result of his extensive knowledge and expertise in the field, he has been promoted to various advanced positions, including Chief Technology Officer at KREEN Renewables GmbH and Manager of Wind Energy Projects / Strategic Planning Division for the Board of Management responsible for future techno-economic scenarios and emerging technologies at EnBW in Germany. Umit co-founded multiple high-tech startup firms in the United States and Switzerland.
Education
  • He began his academic path with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey, in the year 2000.
