Research interests include programming support tools, learning at scale, real-time data analysis, and CS education. His work has been published in top HCI conferences such as ACM CHI, UIST, and CSCW. He directs the Programming with Intelligent Machines & Environments Lab (PRIME) and is an Assistant Director of the Center for Human-Computer Interaction (CHCI).
