Academic Achievements
Serves as a PC member for conferences like AAAI, ACL, CIKM, ICDE, IJCAI, KDD, etc., and as a reviewer for journals including ACM Computing Surveys, ACM Transactions on Database Systems, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, among others.
Research Experience
Previously a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science, University of Helsinki (worked with Assoc. Prof. Michael Mathioudakis). Research areas include approximation algorithms, streaming algorithms, submodular optimization, computational geometry, graph algorithms, differential privacy, as well as applications such as social network analytics, graph mining, spatiotemporal data management, fairness and privacy in algorithms, responsible and ethical AI & DB.
Education
Ph.D. in Computer Science from National University of Singapore (2016-2020, supervisor: Prof. Kian-Lee Tan); M.Eng. in Computer Science from Renmin University of China (2014, supervisor: Prof. Shan Wang); B.Eng. in Computer Science from Shandong University (2011).
Background
Currently a tenure-track associate professor at the School of Data Science and Engineering, East China Normal University. His research interests span both theoretical and practical aspects of data management, data mining, and machine learning, with a particular focus on data stream algorithms, data management for machine learning, algorithmic fairness, and graph mining.
