- Ph.D. in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1989. His doctoral dissertation is entitled 'The Semantics of Inheritance Networks.' M.E. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science at Bangalore, and B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras.
