Research Experience
Professor of Computer Science at the University of Oxford; Basic Science Research Fellow of the British Heart Foundation (BHF); Principal Investigator of the Oxford BHF Centre of Research Excellence; Member of the Computational Cardiovascular Science team. Research focuses on the interplay between cardiac function and structure in modulating deadly arrhythmias in the human heart, computer modeling and simulation towards a reduction and replacement of animals in research and safer drugs in humans, and advanced mathematical modeling for cardiac tissue and magnetic resonance imaging.
Background
Interests: An integrative approach to cardiac electrophysiology research, combining clinical and experimental data, modeling, and simulation, to investigate cardiac arrhythmias and possible therapeutic targets. Themes: Computational Biology and Health Informatics.
