The team is part of Politecnico di Milano, the largest technical university in Italy, ranking highest among Italian technical universities internationally. The Bioengineering division is one of the largest in Europe, with a faculty of 35 and an overall research staff of 100.
Research Experience
The group consists of about 23 researchers, including permanent staff, post-docs, and PhD students. Research facilities are spread across five laboratories, two of which are located within two major hospitals in the Milan area, working closely with the hosting institutions and their clinicians.
Background
Research interests include computer modeling at different scales, microfluidics and organs-on-chip, new materials from circular economy, and tissue engineering.
