IEEE Senior Member, Boeing Inventor. Served as TPC member at the Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS/ENIAC). General coordinator for the Brazilian Symposium on Air Transportation Research (SITRAER/SBTA 2006, 2012, 2019), and the Brazilian Workshop on Social Network Analysis and Mining (BraSNAM/SBC 2014, 15). Contributed as an associate editor to the ANPET Transport Journal. Led an international R&D project to develop 4D Navigation/ATM solutions (2015-2018), resulting in a US patent US 010553121 (2020). Considered one of the pioneers in utilizing GPS data for bus arrival time estimation within Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in Brazil (2000).
Research Experience
Served as coordinator of the graduate program at the University of Brasília's computer science department (2003-2006 and 2008-2009). Supervised over 80 undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students. Participated in multiple research projects funded by CAPES, CNPq, FINEP, FAPDF, and FAPESP, with collaborations including Atech, Boeing, and DECEA.
