Professor of Computer Science at The University of British Columbia.
Education
Ph.D., University of Washington, 1987; B.Sc., University College Cork, Ireland, 1982.
Background
Research Interests: computational complexity theory and design of algorithms. Areas worked on include bioinformatics, hardware verification, and combinatorial auctions. Current focus is on models (such as Chemical Reaction Networks) and algorithms for computing with molecules, as well as methods for predicting DNA kinetics.
