Published a paper in Open Research Europe on optimizing YOLO model performance. Co-authored a paper with Maurizio Mongelli accepted into XAI-2025.
Research Experience
Data Scientist and AI researcher at the University of Seville in the Department of Applied Mathematics I, as a member of the CIMAgroup research team. Interned at Andalusian Public Foundation for Health Research Management in Seville (FISEVI) performing data analysis on clinical data. Worked as a software developer at Solera and later at Glucube (formerly Igluco Tech) developing AI models for a non-invasive glucose monitoring device. Since December 2023, researcher in the REXASI-PRO European project at the University of Seville, optimizing energy consumption in YOLO object detection. Visited CNR in Genoa, Italy, to explore the use of XAI techniques in predicting safe scenarios in robotic simulations. Visited AIDOS Lab at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, to study the application of topological tools in computational healthcare.
