Research Experience
Position: Honorary Senior Lecturer at the National Heart & Lung Institute - Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London; Research projects: Using Physics-Informed Machine Learning to simulate how the human body works and characterize its properties; Investigating atrial deformation and using atrial mechanical information to better understand cardiac disease; Extracting clinical information from cardiac MRI, such as automatically identifying aortic valve disease and quantifying fat around the heart.

Research interests: Physics-Informed Machine Learning, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and digital twins to help understand the human body and improve clinical treatments. Fields of research include Medical Physics, Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing, Numerical Modelling and Mechanical Characterisation, Medical Physiology, Cardiology (including Cardiovascular Diseases), Simulation and Modelling.
