Research Experience
  • Research on graph symmetries, particularly developing a theory for transitive graphs as a graph-theoretical analogue of the Bass-Serre-theory for groups. Studied an analogous result to Stallings' splitting theorem for infinite graphs and its applications. Investigated spanning subgraphs in Cayley (di)graphs, including the decomposition of the Cartesian product of two directed cycles and hamiltonicity of infinite Cayley graphs. Research on median-decompositions, introduced as a generalization of tree-decompositions.
Background
  • Believes in Federico Ardila-Mantilla's axioms: Mathematical talent is distributed equally among different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries. Everyone can have joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experiences. Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shaped and used differently by various communities to serve their needs. Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Miscellany
  • Quotes David Hilbert to emphasize the axiomatic method in mathematics.
