Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, USA, in May 2000, under the supervision of Professor Masayoshi Tomizuka; M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Control System and Vehicle Dynamics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, in December 1995; B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, R.O.C., in June 1992, with a senior thesis on Intelligent-based Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) using Petri-net Theory.
Background
Research Interests: AI-enhanced wireless communication networks and mobile computing systems. Specific topics include wireless broadband, satellite, and local area networks, wireless localization and tracking systems, indoor wireless sensing for human presence detection, respiration rate detection systems, machine/deep learning techniques.
