Served as Vice Chair of Undergraduate Affairs in the Department of Informatics from 2018 to 2024; Chair of the Consumer Health Informatics Working Group of the American Medical Informatics Association (2023–2024).
Background
Professor of Informatics in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), with an adjunct appointment in the Joe C. Wen School of Population and Public Health, College of Health Sciences. My area of research lies at the intersection of Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), and Health Informatics. I am primarily interested in studying how health information is generated, managed, shared, and utilized to drive better healthcare in both clinical and patient-oriented settings.
