Currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Penn State. Teaching current course: CMPSC/DS 410: Programming Models for Big Data.
Background
Research interests include statistical privacy (e.g., differential privacy) and its interactions with software security, statistical inference, and numerical optimization; deep learning algorithms and applications to the physical sciences; applications to social science data (e.g., Census data, Labor statistics data, etc.). Looking for PhD and Masters applicants who like both math and programming, for projects on statistical privacy.
