Background
Research interests include AI, machine (deep) learning, computer vision, NLP, and broad data science. Particularly interested in leveraging AI and machine learning for interdisciplinary research, such as biomedical informatics. Current works focus on multi-modal large language models and their parameter-efficient adaptation, multi-modal video generation, deep active learning, deep transfer learning, and their applications in various domains (biomedical research, intelligent transportation system, natural disaster analysis, etc).
Miscellany
Actively hiring Ph.D. students to join his group as research assistants. All positions will be fully funded. Students have a chance to be recommended to do a research internship at CMU, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, or Amazon during their Ph.D. study.
