  • Was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Kentucky (2013-2016). Now a Professor (since 2020) and Associate Professor (2020-2022) at the University of California Santa Cruz, serving as the Graduate Director since 2023.

Lam; M.Phil. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (2009-2013), worked with Prof. Lionel M. Ni; Bachelor's degree (highest honor) from Nanjing University, Department of Computer Science, 2006, supervised by Prof. Jiafu Xu and Prof. Fangmin Song.
