Published multiple papers in top international conferences such as NeurIPS, ICCV, and ICML, including 'NoisyRollout: Reinforcing Visual Reasoning with Data Augmentation' and 'Optimizing Anytime Reasoning via Budget Relative Policy Optimization'.
Research Experience
Currently a Senior Research Scientist at Sea AI Lab, Singapore.
Education
Ph.D. in 2019 from the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, advised by Prof. Jun Zhu and Prof. Bo Zhang; B.Eng. in 2014 from the Yao Class in Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences at Tsinghua University.
Background
Research interests: machine learning, aiming to understand what intelligence is and how it arises, and to answer these questions from the perspective of probability and statistics. Particularly focused on developing fundamental probabilistic methods for generative modeling from first principles, aiming to improve their capacity, interpretability, and controllability.
Miscellany
Hiring Research Scientists and Research Interns to work on generative models (e.g., diffusion models, LLMs).
