Research Experience
Founded the Movement Control Laboratory at the Department of Cognitive Science, UC San Diego in 2002. Relocated to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Washington in 2009. Currently working on research and development at Roboti LLC.
Background
Research interests include the control of complex movements in animals and robots. Focused on modeling biological movements using optimality principles, and developed powerful methods for optimal control and learning.
