Has been a Faculty Member at the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2006, currently a Professor. Key projects include 'Key Technology and Verification System of the Intelligent Analysis of Large Visual Data for Large Scale Scene' aimed at overcoming perceptual blind spots in big visual data analysis, and 'Intelligent Light-field Imaging for Long-range Iris Recognition of Multiple Subjects' focusing on improving iris imaging techniques.
Education
Received B.S. in industrial automation from Dalian University of Technology in 1999; M.S. in systems engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2002, advised by Prof. Chaoyuan Yue; and Ph.D. in pattern recognition and intelligent systems from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006, advised by Prof. Tieniu Tan.
