Academic Achievements
- He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, Cognitive Neurodynamics, and CAAI Transactions on Intelligent Systems. Previously, he was an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems and IEEE Transactions on Image Processing. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. His students have won multiple awards, such as Kai Li's Excellent Master Thesis of Tsinghua University in 2024, and Zhanhao Hu and Chufeng Tang's PhD degrees in 2023. He has organized several academic conferences and competitions, including the 18th International Symposium on Neural Networks (ISNN 2024).
Research Experience
- Since 2009, he has been a faculty member of this department, working in the TSAIL group directed by Prof. Bo Zhang and Prof. Jun Zhu.
Education
- He obtained his PhD in Automation and Computer-Aided Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007, supervised by Prof. Jun Wang. He then became a post-doc researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, working with Prof. Bo Zhang.
