Worked at the Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal) in a multidisciplinary group called CENTRA/SIM, which brings together astronomers, physicists, and engineers (hardware and software) between 2011 and 2019.

Received a double-degree PhD in “Astronomy, Astrophysics & Particles” from the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil) and Université de Bordeaux (France). MSc in Astrophysics and BSc in Physics from the Universidade de São Paulo. Graduated in classical Piano at the Conservatório Musical Anchieta, in São Paulo.

An Astronomer and a Lecturer in Informatics at the University of California, Irvine (USA), at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. Fascinated by astroinformatics, astrometry, astrostatistics, and space-missions.
Miscellany
Favorite books include Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, The Idiot by Dostoievsky, La Valeur de la Science by Poincaré, and some old greeks about trojans. Struggling to translate Tycho Brahe’s Astronomiae Instauratae Mechanica to Portuguese during free time. In terms of music, likes Bach with a touch of Pärt.
