Published numerous papers in the fields of machine translation and natural language processing. Received IAMT Award of Honor (2015) and ACL Fellow (2024). Developed several open-source software and resources, including Moses, a statistical machine translation system.

Teaches several courses such as Introduction to Human Language Technology, Computer Systems Fundamentals, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Translation. Supervises multiple PhD students.
