Academic Achievements
  • Designed the first efficient and throughput-optimal algorithm for the generalized network flow problem. Our work received two best paper awards at top-tier international venues (MobiHoc 16 and INFOCOM 18).
Research Experience
  • Prior to joining TIFR, I was with the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras as an Assistant Professor. I spent two summers at Bell Labs (Murray Hill, NJ) and Microsoft (Redmond, WA), working on resource-allocation problems. After my Ph.D., I worked at Qualcomm Research, San Diego, on efficient scheduling algorithms for 5G systems.
Education
  • Ph.D.: MIT, Advisor: Prof. Eytan Modiano; M.S.: Indian Institute of Science, Electrical Communication Engineering; B.S.: Jadavpur University, Electronics and Telecommunication Engg.
Background
  • My primary research interest broadly lies at the intersection of learning theory, stochastic control, and optimization, where I seek to develop new analytical tools to design provably fast, fair, and intelligent algorithms.
