Working on projects involving Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC), ML-guided directed evolution (MLDE), representation learning, and generative models.
Education
Currently a CS PhD student at Berkeley EECS, advised by Prof. Yun S. Song, affiliated with Berkeley AI Research (BAIR).
Background
Excited by the unlimited possibilities in applying machine learning frameworks to biology. Research interests lie broadly in the power set of {synthetic biology, AI4Science, generative models, deep learning}. During undergraduate years (freshman at UIUC, then at Cornell), fortunate to be advised by Prof. Buz Barstow and Prof. Chris De Sa @Cornell, and Prof. Huimin Zhao @UIUC.
