Research Experience
Develops new technology for studying the brain, performs neuroscience experiments on mice performing memory tasks, and develops new algorithms for analyzing large-scale brain imaging datasets. The approach to studying the brain is heavily influenced by physics and engineering.
Background
Professor of the Neural coding and neurodegenerative disease laboratory. Aims to (i) understand how information is encoded, stored in, and retrieved from memory by the mammalian brain; (ii) understand its dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease, and (iii) develop therapeutic approaches to enhance or restore memory circuit function.
