Research Experience
Formerly Head of AI at Wand Synthesis AI, Director of AI Research at Symbl.ai, and Senior Research Scientist and Research Science Manager at IBM Research. His thesis work focused on automated planning challenges in human-robot teaming. He has also worked on creating automated conversation systems, applying planning and reinforcement learning techniques to bridge symbolic and neural approaches, and on bridging HCI and AI techniques for human-agent collaboration.

Ph.D. in Computer Science from Arizona State University, advised by Dr. Subbarao (Rao) Kambhampati; Bachelors in Computer Science from Arizona State, graduating summa cum laude.
Background
Currently a Distinguished Architect (AI) at Oracle, driving the next generation of LLM-powered data and AI innovation. Research interests include using and customizing LLMs for natural language data and simulating reasoning-like behavior, as well as exploring the use of symbolic reasoning to bridge different AI, ML, and NLP techniques.
