  • Awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship in 2019. Involved in and secured funding from various European and National research projects.
Research Experience
  • Currently a Senior Research Associate with the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus; joined the Center in 2017 as a Research Associate, working with Prof. Marios Polycarpou and Prof. Christos Panayiotou. Visiting researcher with the Polytechnic University of Milan (POLIMI), collaborating with Prof. Manuel Roveri and Prof. Cesare Alippi. Also, a post-doctoral researcher with the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL), working with Prof. Jun Wang. Held Data Scientist roles in industry (London).
Education
  • PhD (2015) from the Department of Computer Science at the University of York, UK, on multiagent learning and coordination with applications in network intrusion detection and response. Supervised by Dr. Daniel Kudenko and funded by an EPSRC Studentship. Prior to his PhD, he obtained his MEng degree in Computer Systems and Software Engineering (First Class Honours, 2010) from the same department.
Background
  • Research Interests: Learning from nonstationary, limited-labelled, and imbalanced data streams with applications in critical infrastructures and healthcare.
