Background
Currently working as Lead Engineer - Imaging Systems at InnerPlant, leading an engineering team developing sensing systems for fluorescent plants. Research interests include hardware devices (design, prototyping, manufacture) and software systems (firmware for imaging devices, data analysis, and modeling). Previously, worked as an ORISE postdoctoral fellow at USDA-ARS, using UAV images for maize plant phenotyping, and extracted plant traits from digital images using computer vision and machine learning techniques. Also involved in the development of robotic systems for agriculture and forestry applications.
