Research Experience
Visiting professor at the University of Sheffield, where he conducted research on Structural Health Monitoring of Complex Autonomous Systems in collaboration with Prof. K. Visakan, Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering. Also, a visiting professor at IPS-Waseda University, Japan, and jointly developed a series of Pipe Health Monitoring robots with Prof. Harutoshi Ogai. As a DST-JSPS recipient, working in collaboration with Prof. Hiroaki Wagatsuma of Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, on Child Robot Interaction study.

Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), India. Former Head of the Design Programme from 2011-2013 and former coordinator of the Space Technology Cell, IITK from 2014 to 2018. Currently heading the Cognitive Science programme of the Institute. Research interests include Active and Passive Vibration Control, Structural Health Management, Energy Harvesting System, Robotics & Automation, Intelligent System Design, and Child-Robot Interaction.
