Published papers in various areas including but not limited to misinformation detection, Deepfake video detection, text augmentation techniques, etc.
Research Experience
Senior Researcher at Microsoft Applied Sciences Group, working on a variety of NLP and multimodal tasks; completed a research internship at Lenovo Research, working on deep learning-based image enhancement; also finished another internship at Microsoft, where she worked on the development of cutting-edge NLP techniques.
Education
Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside (UCR), fully funded by the Dean’s Distinguished Fellowship Award, focusing on misinformation detection using multilinear (tensor) algebra along with a variety of NLP and vision techniques; Postdoctoral CIFellow at Georgia Tech, working on an NSF-funded project, “Adversarially robust multimodal misinformation detection”.
Background
Research interests include NLP and multimodal tasks, such as customization and distillation of large language models/sequence-to-sequence models for downstream tasks, multitask architectures, multimodal generative models, causal inference, responsible GAI, and more recently, multimodal conversational agents.
