Senior Research Software Engineer at the Netherlands eScience Center; Principal Investigator on the NWO-funded 'Catch Me If You Can: Mapping EU Company Mobility & Abuse-Detection' project, where he helped develop tools using Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning to extract structured information about EU companies from unstructured text in a variety of EU languages - ultimately represented as a Knowledge Graph. He also helped develop open source tools to analyze this knowledge graph such as RelFinder (inspired by the original Visual Data Web RelFinder tool) and an extension to the Hypothes.is web annotation tool.
