Academic Achievements
- He has written a popular-science book about mathematical modelling, 'Step into World of Mathematics', and a textbook on inverse problems, 'Inverse Problems with Applications' (co-authored with Jennifer Mueller). He has participated in various academic conferences and workshops, and supervised several PhD students.
Research Experience
- Works as a Professor of Industrial Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of University of Helsinki and as team leader in the Finnish Center of Excellence in Inverse Problems Research. Also, he serves as Vice Dean at the UH Faculty of Science and Treasurer of European Mathematical Society.
