Research Experience
During his Master's, he led the HLT Team's contribution to the ComParE 2020 Breathing sub-challenge, which pertains to the estimation of breathing signals. He is now a PhD student under the PDEEC program and serves as a Teaching Assistant for Spoken Language Processing.
Education
Obtained MSc degree in 2020 with the thesis titled 'Automatic Detection of Profile Features'. Currently, he is a PhD Student in the Doctoral Programme in Electrical and Computer Engineering at IST, participating in the MAIA project, a CMU/INESC-ID/IT/Unbabel collaboration focused on Intelligent AI Agents in chatbots.
Background
Research interests include speech processing techniques, speaker recognition, and paralinguistics. Recently, his research focus has shifted towards Natural Language Processing, with a particular emphasis on conversational agent evaluation metrics.
