Academic Achievements
  • Publications: 'ART-DECO: Arbitrary Text Guidance for 3D Detailizer Construction' (ACM SIGGRAPH Asia 2025), 'GenVDM: Generating Vector Displacement Maps From a Single Image' (CVPR 2025), 'DECOLLAGE: 3D Detailization by Controllable, Localized, and Learned Geometry Enhancement' (ECCV 2024), 'DAE-Net: Deforming Auto-Encoder for fine-grained shape co-segmentation' (ACM SIGGRAPH 2024), 'ShaDDR: Interactive Example-Based Geometry and Texture Generation via 3D Shape Detailization and Differentiable Rendering' (ACM SIGGRAPH Asia 2023), 'D2CSG: Unsupervised Learning of Compact CSG Trees with Dual Complements and Dropouts' (NeurIPS 2023).
Research Experience
  • Conducted research in the GrUVi lab, working on multiple 3D shape generation and detailization projects.
Education
  • Ph.D. in Computational Science from Simon Fraser University, supervised by Prof. Hao (Richard) Zhang; M.S. in Computational Science from UC San Diego, advised by Prof. David J. Kriegman; worked at Machine Learning, Perception, and Cognition Lab (mlPC), advised by Prof. Zhuowen Tu; B.S. in Computer Science and Technology from Fuzhou University.
Background
  • Research interests include geometry modeling, machine learning, and shape analysis. Particularly interested in building generative models for fine-grained, controllable 3D shape synthesis guided by geometry, images, or text. Also interested in image and video foundation models for customized content generation.
