Has been working at LAAS-CNRS since 1980, currently as a research director. He has visited the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), MSRI, Fields Institute, IMA, IPAM, Cinvestav-IPN, Leiden University, Tinbergen Institute, University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, University of New South Wales, and the University of British Columbia.
Education
Graduated from ENSIMAG in Grenoble, then obtained his PhD (1978) and 'Doctorat d'Etat' (1984) both from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France.
Background
Research interests include polynomial optimization, control theory, and optimization. He is a research director at LAAS-CNRS in Toulouse, France, and an associate member of the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE), the Institute of Mathematics of Toulouse (IMT), and holds the 'Polynomial Optimization' chair at the ANITI Institute.
