Recipient of numerous awards, including 2025 NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund, 2023 IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Best Young Researcher Award and Outstanding Paper Award, World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University, Wu Wenjun AI Young Scientist Award of China AI Society, First Prize of Natural Science Award of China Communication Society, Second Prize of Natural Science Award of Zhejiang Province, Outstanding Young Talent in Guangdong Province, AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar Award Honorable Mention, UCOM 2023 Young Scientist Award, First Prize of National ‘Bloom Cup’ 5G Industrial Competition in 2022, Runner-up (2nd place) of ITU AI/ML in 5G Challenge 2023, Hong Kong Postgraduate Fellowship (HKPF), Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis Award from HKU, and Best Paper Award from WCSP 2013 and IEEE JSnC 2024.
Research Experience
Serves as associate editors at top-tier IEEE ComSoc journals including IEEE TMC, IEEE TWC and IEEE WCL, and track/symposium/workshop co-chairs of several IEEE major conferences such as IEEE PIMRC 2021, WCSP 2023, IEEE Globecom 2023, etc. He is also the vice co-chair of the IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Board Young Professionals Committee.
Education
Received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from The University of Hong Kong in 2019, under the supervision of Prof. Kaibin Huang; and BS and MS degrees in information and communication engineering from Zhejiang University in 2012 and 2015, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Caijun Zhong.
Background
Currently the deputy director and a senior research scientist at the network system optimization center of Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data, and an Adjunct Associate Professor with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. His recent research interests include large foundation model, edge intelligence, integrated sensing and communication, and intelligent radio-access network.
