- From August 2014 to August 2016, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at Rapid-Rich Object Search (ROSE) Lab, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, under the supervision of Prof TAN Yap Peng and Prof Junsong Yuan.

- Received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Beijing, China, in 2014, under the supervision of Prof Yunde JIA.
Background
- Research Interests: Computer Vision (3D Vision, Vision Language Processing, etc.), Machine Learning (Riemannian Optimization, Deep Learning, etc.). Biography: Currently a Tenured Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology. He received the outstanding Ph.D. Thesis award from BIT and was nominated for the Distinguished Dissertation Award by the China Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI).
Miscellany
- He is always looking for highly motivated Master and Ph.D. students with excellent mathematical and programming skills to work on 3D vision, vision and language modeling, and Riemannian manifold analytics. Plans to recruit 2-3 Ph.D. students and 2 Master students annually.
